Arguably no science fiction film, TV or literary work has inspired more people to become scientists, astronauts or engineers as much as Star Trek. 2016 marks the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek the Original Series, spawning numerous TV series, films and literature.
Props, costumes, models and sets will be on display from all the various Star Trek television series and films. Guests can step aboard the Enterprise-D Bridge from Star Trek: The Next Generation (ST:TNG), Captain Kirk’s Star Trek: The Original Series (ST:TOS) Bridge.
Display cases, 3D monitors and touchpads will line the walls with information about the Star Trek world, making of Star Trek and how it relates to real science.
The displays will contain interviews, art, footage, animation and newly filmed material by the original actors and creators.
TNG Enterprise Bridge
The Next Generation Enterprise-D Bridge will be the entire 50′ x 25′ x 12′ tall set, exactly as it was seen on TV. Guests can walk through the set, look at the controls, take photos and sit in the chairs.
TOS Enterprise Bridge
The Original Series Enterprise Bridge will look and feel exactly like the original 30′ x 30′ x 10′ TV show set. All the monitors, lights and sounds will function exactly as they did on TV.
